  I'm sick of...

  i'm sick of.... ...having an elder i barely know invite himself over to my house, and bring another asshole elder with him, you know, to "see how i'm doing" f-ck them.

  ...having same elder with all insincerity approach me at the beeting and before inviting himself over, ask, "how are you doing?

  " then when i say everything is great, go ahead and invite them selves over anyway.

  You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. Fade, DF, or DA, its a roll of the dice no matter what. The risk of losing friends and family is ALWAYS there when you aren't an active no-blood card carrying cult member. We all have our preferences as to how to leave. I prefer to remove the bandaid off as quick as possible, that goes literally also. the only thing you are guaranteed, with 2 of the 3 choices, DA and DF, is that the JWs will no longer f*ck with you and will leave you alone, forever. To me, thats worth it's weight in gold.

  WATCHTOWER'S basic premise is false (i.e. copy the earliest form of Christianity and you get it 'right')

  watchtower's so-called 'scholars' (excuse me while i throw up) have a basic premise they have always worked under.

  namely, the earliest form of christianity was the purest and least corrupt.

  by trying to pattern jw's after this earliest form of "purity of christian doctrine" the so-called truth is supposed to emerge.. well--apparently this is a false premise, according to bart ehrman.. _____.

  I do not think DA is playing into their game. You are the one walking away. It's your choice. It's your life. When you DA or get DF, they leave you alone. Throw in a hint of apostasy and they will run from you. LOL. Trust me, I know. the JW's don't F*ck with me, not even my family. Not once have I got a text, email, phone call, brochure, daily text, or anything reminding me to come back to Jehovuh.
  
  Yeah, you lose some people, but its a cult. Friendship and family bond was always conditional, and it will always be conditional. It's a cancer than need to be eliminated in order the move on and be truly content and happy.

  Did Jesus not say: “Therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken about by Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place (let the reader use discernment), 16 then let those in Ju·deʹa begin fleeing to the mountains."?????

  I suppose that this also happened in 1914 because Jesus clearly stated that "Likewise also you, when you see all these things (mentioned in Matt 24) , know that he is near at the doors.

  David, you have some more 'Splaining to do, for argument sake.

  acts 15:28 for the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to you except these necessary things: 29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from what is strangled, and from sexual immorality.

  if you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper.

  I just found it odd that such a serious command to abstain from certain activities contains the qualifier "if". I no longer base my beliefs on "if....then..." argumentation. Just my thoughts tho.

  and I never bought into the whole "good health to you" part either.

  in march of 2014, i was a very active jw, a ministerial servant, gave a public talk, was an attendant for the memorial, and one of 4 cleaning captains for an international convention of 40,000+ attendees.

  so what woke me up?

  an innocent comment from a co-worker about the candice conti court case rang a bell that could not be unrung.

  i am also avoided like the plague. And my second disfellowshipping took 2 years and 5 letters. The arrogant elders did everything to discourage me from coming back but it didn't work.
